Made up in linen dimity or blue-and-white check linen, this bonnet is styled for the 1770s with a shorter brim and poofier bow. Entirely hand-sewn using period-appropriate materials and methods, the caul is adjustable to fit a range of heads sizes (shown on a 22" head). Although bonnets are seen in black silk, linen, check linen, and white linen also appear in runaway ads, particularly in the American south. Cooler for summer, delightful to wear, and still stylish, this bonnet is the perfect accessory for mid-1770s impressions from New England to the Carolinas.
