Museum Renovations

Phase IV: HVAC

This project, funded by Save America's Treasures and the Champlin Foundations, installed nine 400-foot closed-loop geothermal wells connected to heat pumps and a new, more efficient air handler. The system keeps the RH of the house at +/- 50% year-round using conservation heating.

Phase V: Fire and Life Safety

A wireless. addressable fire detection system was installed throughout the John Brown House  along with emergency lighting, exit lights, and strobe-horn annunciators. Existing historical electrical fixtures were connected to an inverter to provide unobtrusive emergency lighting in power outages.
